Photo report: First Service of the soon-to-be Peoria, IL mission

Last night we served the first of our many upcoming services at the chapel at St. Andrews Church, Peoria, IL.  The Moleben with the Canon for the Dormition went well.  Lexi's singing was excellent.  We were attended by Fr. Shawn, rector of St. Andrews and the dean of the ACNA Diocese of Quincy.

Fr. Shawn has committed to letting us use the chapel for all of our services scheduled to date.  This schedule is posted here on our blog, http://orthodoxpeoria.blogspot.com, at the bottom of the page.

Please keep us in your prayers!

  1. God's blessing on your effort as you begin this new Mission. Your Chapel looks lovely. It is so encouraging to see such growth in our Church. I am located in Upstate NY & part of the lay community that attends services at Holy Trinity Monastery. I just saw Bishop Peter this past Wed when he was at HTM for the funeral of Archimandrite Flor. Again, best wishes in your endeavor.
